The Francès Fondation celebrates its 10th with Sotheby’s 

Arroi assists on a daily basis the Francès Corporate Foundation created in 2009 with the Oko Agency, throughout the missions concerning the management of a rich contemporary collection that posses more than 700 works of art. Arroi is involved in the management of the collection, its conservation and the logistics related to this process.

The collection of the Francès Foundation established by Estelle and Hervé Francès, presents numerous photographs, paintings, sculptures, and installations of contemporary artists.  The collection has a common theme revolving around the Man and his excesses, the taboos of humanity, and takes on a way of dialogue.

Replete with this collection, the Foundation has spearheaded the sharing of the latter by presenting exhibitions dedicated to these artists. Faced with multiple glances and exhibited in sometimes unusual places, the chosen photographs occur at the heart of a selection of important works crossing the different currents of photography.

For the first time, the Francès Foundation gives away a selection of its photographic background. Around thirty works will be presented at the photography auction organized by Sotheby’s, on Friday, November 8, 2019, starting from 4 pm.

The sale will allow the Foundation to present its missions and commitments internationally. The funds gathered will contribute to the financing of the establishments future projects.

Among the photographs of the collection: Nobuyoshi Araki, Richard Avedon, Vanessa Beecroft, Valérie Belin, Liu Bolin, James Casebere, Oleg Dou, Tracey Emin, Jan Fabre, Pieter Hugo, Seydou Keita, David Lachapelle, Sally Mann, Robert Mapplethorpe, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Bettina Rheims, Sebastiao Salgado, Martin Schoeller, John Stewart.
